Preschool Ministry

On Sunday mornings, we want you to know that your child is safe and comfortable so you can focus your attention on worship and replenishing your soul for the important job of parenting. We’ve organized childcare by age and stage, where each child is loved and cared for in an engaging and safe environment.

Preschool check-in and check-out is located in the Welcome Center. Our staff will be on-hand to assist with both transitions. For safety reasons, non-FPC staff/workers are not allowed on the classroom hallways.

In addition to Sunday mornings, we offer seasonal mid-week programming (August-November and January-April) and other special events throughout the year such as Preschool Storytime days during the summer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will my preschooler experience at First Pres?

Our staff and volunteers delight in nurturing little ones and pointing them to Christ through age-appropriate lessons, creativity, and play.

What do I need to bring with my child?

Please be sure to bring anything your child may need throughout the morning. This may include diapers, bottles, snacks, or other items. Please be sure you label all of your child’s belongings. A light snack is provided (typially Goldfish crackers and water). You may send snacks with your child but please note that our children’s spaces are nut free.

How do I check my child in?

Please enter through the Welcome Center doors. Our check-in kiosks are located here and someone will be happy to assist you.

How do you ensure safety for children?

Every person who is involved in working with our preschoolers, children, and teenagers have passed a background check and receive regular training on safety protocols. These are the only individuals allowed on our children’s hallway. In addition, we have security team members and on-site polie officers to help ensure the safety of all who attend First Pres.

What if my child is not feeling well?

Before coming to First Pres, if your child is not feeling well we ask that you keep them home. Any child who has had a fever within 24-hours of a planned attendance at First Pres should also be kept home.

If your child starts to not feel well while in our care, we will notify you by text message or other means, if necessary.

Are you an expectant parent? Whether it’s your first child or the addition of a sibling, we are here to offer friendship, support, and prayer. Send us a message so we can rejoice with you!
